A Stunning Old French Desvres Violin

Description

A Stunning Old decorative French Desvres violin from the Fourmaintraux - Hornoy factory. The violin is decorated with flower baskets,flower sprays, and lattice work. The violin is surrounded by leaves,scrolls, and flowers.
Length : 18 1/2 inches
Width : 6 1/4 inches at widest point.
Mark : FF 318
Age : 1867 - 1877
Condition : Very Good with normal wear. A few small paint flakes and some small small cracks on the bridge. " See Photo" . The keys have been glued in place to keep them from falling out and breaking .The keys have been touched up but are a lovely part of this piece.
